Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. She is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native who was born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is from Polish descent (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's talent for entertainment was found at a young age. She was just 12 when she went to her first audition, and was able to win the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell took part in the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role of Dorothy. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater in New York City. Bell left her college in 2001 after she was cast in the role Becky for Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the sequence in which she appeared was cut. As a result, only her credit sequence exists. Bell made an appearance in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
